| Gold Coast City Council ordered an extensive upgrade involving landscape works. Designers redesigned the pavement to have simpler grades for pedestrian safety and, compared to pits used previously, more cost effective and efficient surface drainage. This was all made possible with a linear trench drain. | |

The drain’s proximity to the beach also meant that all exposed metal components required to be of a stainless steel construction. |
