The city therefore has undergone rapid transformation to become the business, community and employment hub of the Sunshine Coast. Due to the restricted space available, it was not feasible to add additional conventional kerb inlet pits as existing services would have to be relocated and the State Government would need to exercise a land resumption. Designers therefore needed a compact drainage system to capture surface water runoff efficiently without the need for deep excavation.
