It links Perth Airport and the industrial suburb of Kewdale with the city’s north eastern and south eastern suburbs. The Western Australian and Federal Governments committed $366M to upgrade intersections of the highway to improve safety and ease congestion.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vcex_heading text=”Project Design Brief” tag=”h2″ font_weight=”semibold” font_size=”1.154em” css=”.vc_custom_1534997838718{margin-bottom: 15px !important;}”][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1613004797034{padding-bottom: 15px !important;}”]The project included improvements to three intersections, one of which is Kelvin Road. The upgrade included additional lanes, including turning lanes, which posed some problems as available space was limited. Designers needed a compact drainage system that would effectively capture surface water runoff from the newly constructed lanes. Maintenance access would also be required.[/vc_column_text][vcex_heading text=”ACO’s Solution” tag=”h2″ font_weight=”semibold” font_size=”1.154em” css=”.vc_custom_1534997885619{margin-bottom: 15px !important;}”][vc_column_text]
